Mass Tort Litigation —Our firm represents injured victims, either individually or as a class, in litigation involving injuries caused by negligence, defective products, or the exposure to toxic and dangerous products. Our mass tort litigation experience includes cases against tobacco companies and the manufacturers of such products as the Dalcon Shield, breast implants, Fen-Phen, Rezulin, Vioxx, Meridia, and Immotrex.
Admiralty & Maritime Law —Our firm represents clients in legal issues relating to the sea including shipping, marine cargo, and workers injured at sea, on navigable waters, or while working in harbor. We also represent clients in contract negotiations for shipping cargo and in resolving issues that result from performance of those contracts and have extensive expertise in the requirements of the Jones Act and the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Class Action —A class action is a lawsuit in which a representative sues on behalf of a large group in which individual members share a common claim or injury. Class actions may involve issues of fraud, discrimination, or large-scale claims of injury as a result of a defective product. A class action lawsuit is a complex area of litigation involving issues of procedure, notice, and jurisdiction.
Consumer Litigation —We represent consumers, including classes of consumers, in matters in which those persons have been damaged as the result of violations of state or federal laws or other wrongful acts.
Contracts —Our firm has experience in contract disputes, whether commercial or private, involving sale and purchase contracts, business agreements, warranties, leases, real estate contracts, and employment contracts.
Environmental Law —Environmental law is a combination of state and Federal statutes and regulations, local ordinances, and case law governing clean air practice, water pollution, hazardous and solid waste, wetlands, and wild lands. Our firm assists clients obtain required permits and comply with regulations and auditing principles to protect them from violations and penalties; advise them on hazardous waste, cleanup, and Superfund issues; and represents individuals and organizations in bringing actions where they believe a violation has occurred.
